3 Misgivings people have when transforming their Limiting Beliefs into Personal Powerful Attributes

Shedding some light on the mental blocks that stop us from having the self support we want, need and deserve.

After reading 5 Quick Ways to centre yourself in Anxious times and How I came to be an Emotional Resilience Advocate, you may well wonder about the HOW TO when it comes to putting your thoughts into action to make positive changes in your lives.

Where do we start? ......well Ghandi has it right with his formula;

Your Beliefs become your Thoughts,

Your Thoughts become your Words,

Your Words become your Actions,

Your Actions become your Habits,

Your Habits become your Values,

Your Values become your destiny.

So it all starts with your BELIEFS!

Anyone can think of how they want to be, but unless you have an emotion that matches that belief and backs it up, it's not going to stick!!

Changing the energy behind a belief may take some time and processing OR it can be instant. Ultimately, depending on how you feel about the change and your mindset towards the process will determine what happens next.

Some common misgivings people have about the process of changing what is limiting their personal growth to an empowered belief are;

1.Being Open To Change

      Having a mindset that change IS possible, that change doesn't have to be a hard and complex thing to accomplish. In the beginning you may not even have the end goal mapped out or the process pictured in your mind. Set the intention for change and trust the process that will unfold.

      2. Be Curious

      Ask lots of questions and don't eliminate every thought, fact or fiction, in a hurry.  It's a case of exploration .  Questions like.. is it genetic? Will I always be this way? Do I really feel this way or is it what society or family is telling me (values) any many more are there for the exploring.

      Look at the What Ifs, the Buts, the shoulds, and the maybe's. Make Columns, notes, read up and gather information to debunk the old belief thats not working for you and support your new belief.

      3Focus on Moving Forward

      Once you have made progress in dissecting the origin, past occurrences, truths and scenarios, commit to move Forward.

      Try not to sit in what you have learnt about yourself and not change direction. That's not going to get you anywhere!  As Ghandi says, make these new thoughts your actions and create new energy and emotions to match it.

      Focus on your new direction to create the new momentum to form the new habit to help the subconscious change happen.  I takes 7 days to make a habit, another 7 days to make it a behaviour, and another 7 days to create a new positive neurological pathway (B.Cameron).

      Repetition is very beneficial here as it helps create new neuropathways in the brain to reinforce and support the new feelings and emotions you now have until they then subconsciously feel like your natural way of being.

      In short, focus and commit to moving forward and making the change you want to see.

      Hopefully, these 3 adjustments will be helpful in gaining the best mindset to tackle those Limiting Beliefs and create the lasting and positive change that you deserve.
